My dad, Bill "Augie" Augsburger who appears in some of the reunion photos is proud to have flown with all you great guys. Every once a great while, he will share a new story with me of his exploits while based out of Korat dropping greetings on the Commies. I want to send a thanks to all the patriots in River Rats!

PS: My dad doesn't know it, but even though I recently retired from a very exciting and dangerous career myself, I was always very jealous of the fighter pilot career that God gave him. Good on ya.

Hi Augie Jr., Thanks for your entry and generous comments. You certainly had an outstanding career and your dad is justifiably proud of you. Augie Sr. is one of my favorite people and we flew many "interesting" missions together. We also served together at McConnell AFB after Korat. As I've told your dad, he was one of the most influential folks I met in my fighter pilot days. Take care, Jack
