Greetings to all who read this. My name is Scott. I'm the proud son of retired Major Robin K. Nierste. He was an original member of the 34TFS.
In addition to requesting the honor of submitting some vintage photos and a story regarding the famous scarf, I would like to ask for your assistance regarding my dad's birthday. He is turning ninety on March 10 and I'm trying to find anyone and everyone who might be able to send him a greeting. He lives in Kissimmee, Florida with my mother and we'll be having a surprise family reunion that week.
I'm hoping I can get some old "thud studs" who may have flown with or knew him. My dad is unaware I'm contacting you so I'm hoping I could possibly speak with someone with contact numbers or who might facilitate a surprise greeting or message of some kind. He would get a big kick out of this, and as his son, so would I.
Any assistance you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much, Scott Nierste
