35 - 2007 reunion

Tom Johnson C/C 62-4308: uncletomkl@juno.com

WHY NO PICS. OR COMMENTS ON 2007 REUNION? I WAS PART OF THE CORE GROUP FROM YOKOTA TO KORAT. 2007 WAS THE FIRST REUNION I ATTENDED. HOMER TERRY, KEN MAYS, BILL EAGLE MADE THIS OLD RETIRED M/SGT FEEL WELCOME. I DID ENJOY IT. I WANT TO THANK THEM AGAIN. ANYWAY, NO COMMENTS ON 2007?

Jack's comment: I was unable to get any pictures from the reunion; several folks said they would send some, but none were presented. I'm always happy to add comments and pictures, so send them along.

34 - F-105s at Korat and Kadena

Anthony ( Tony) S. Sarganis: 64-0823@sbcglobal.net

I crewed the Thud at Kadena and later TDY to Korat with the 388TH TFW. I remember some of the faces and aircraft. I knew Bill Thomas from Kadena. and Maj.David Stone both killed in Thuds. After all these years I have the honor of crewing a F-105F at the Pacific Coast Air Museum. Tail number 331. We just started to restore her with a nice clean paint job and show her this past weekend in our annual air show. Any one with knowledge of 331 or pictures can contact me at
Tony Sargains, 64-0823@sbcglobal.net.
This is a great site, thanks for all the work putting it together.

30 - Ray Lewis and Roscoe

Cherilyn Holton: cherilyn1@npgcable.com

I have just been sent your webpage today, and I must admit it is quite interesting, learning more than before.
I am Ray Lewis's sister, and have just learned of this major F-105 pilots and family, learning about a wonderful man, whom I only knew as my oldest brother who flew jets and was MIA until 1989 (from 1966). A very long time to anguish over his condition. I have now been able to put a closure and this weight coming off my heart.
I was only 16 when Ray went MIA, so learning about this side of his F-105 Family is truly a miracle in my eyes.
Roscoe (Ray's dog) is American, I just can't prove it. He got him on "a street corner" and followed him home, according to Ray, just like the story he smuggled him into Japan in his F-105 (another character) of Ray's. Ray was the most charactis, funny, gentleman I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. Apparently, he was loved and his personality preceded his death, with many family members from the F-105. Here 40+ years later learning about this man I adored, is truly a miracle for me.
Thank you Jack, for your great words and stories.

Vincent A. Scungio Jr.: macheteleader@sbcglobal.net

Hi Jack, I looked all over your site, its a Great one. Glad to see you Honor all your fellow River Rats.
Like I told you, I'm the Son of Wild Weasel #99 Vincent A. Scungio Major. USAF M.I.A. 4, Nov. 1966. I'm not sure about all these Pilots in the 35th, But Hopefully some of them will remember his name. I do know that the F-105D Pilot that was on the Mission that fateful day with my Father refused to give any information about the incident. Hopefully like I said some of you will read this and remember flying with Him.

If someone does want to contact me, they can at; macheteleader@sbcglobal.net

Respectfully, Vince Jr. WW#2549
