For those of you flying into the Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) Airport, call the hotel upon arrival for their complementary shuttle service. For those of you arriving by way of personal vehicle, complementary parking is available at the hotel. Check-in time is after 3:00 PM. Once you have checked in and are settled in your room, come to the Sky Room, the location of our 34th TFS Hospitality Room, where you can pick up your welcome bags and name tags. Light refreshments and snacks will be available. Should you arrive prior to check-in time, please come directly to our hospitality room.
Monday afternoon and evening will be free time. A list of restaurants and shops within walking distance of the hotel will be available in the hospitality room. During the week, our Hospitality Room will be open from 8:00 AM until 11:00 PM each day but closed when we are on tour.
8:00 AM: We will muster in the hotel lobby and shortly thereafter board our bus for the drive to the Flying Heritage Collection located at Paine Field, Everett, WA. Our bus will depart at 8:10 AM for the approximately 50 minute trip arriving around 9:00 AM. Upon arrival, we will be split into two groups for a guided tour that will begin at 9:15 AM. There will be lots of great photo opportunities so remember to bring cameras and many flash cards. The Museum is quite expansive and will require a little walking, so be sure to wear comfortable shoes. Light, casual attire is appropriate for this and all of our guided tours.
The Flying Heritage Collection
The planes within the FHC were created at a time when aeronautical discovery had evolved to aviation mastery. Finely crafted by distinguished design bureaus with leading technologies of the 1930s and 1940s, the main emphasis of the collection includes combat aircraft from World War II.
In 1998, Paul G. Allen began acquiring and preserving these iconic warriors and workhorses, many of which are the last of their kind. Allen's passion for aviation and history, and his awareness of the increasing rarity of original WWII aircraft, motivated him to restore these artifacts to the highest standard of authenticity and share them with the public.
The FHC is a dynamic flying collection. Periodically, one or more of our exhibits are temporarily absent to participate in an event, for maintenance, or for continuing restoration.
Collection Policies
- No food or drink is permitted within the hangar
- Children under 12 years of age must be accompanied by an adult
- For reasons of preservation and safety, please do not touch the aircraft on
- display.
Wheelchairs – Flying Heritage Collection is an ADA-compliant facility. A limited number of wheelchairs are available for visitors as needed.
Gift Shop – Our gift shop features quality gifts and apparel for you or the aircraft aficionado in your life! Check it out after you finish your tour of the collection and take home a memento of your visit.

The Boeing Everett, WA Factory
During the tour of the world's largest building by volume (472,000,000 cubic feet or 13,385,378 cubic meters), visitors will see airplanes being built for our worldwide base of airline customers.
Boeing Tour Restrictions and Limitations
- Children must be at least 4 feet (122 cm) tall to go on the tour. Visitors may not carry babies on the tour. There is no childcare facility at the Future of Flight and Boeing Tour. There are no exceptions to these safety regulations.
- Remember your camera! You may take photos in the Future of Flight Gallery & on the Strato Deck but The Boeing Company does not permit still photos or video cameras on the assembly plant tour. In addition, there are no personal items allowed on the tour, including purses, backpacks, waist pouches, binoculars, cell phones, etc. Lockers are available onsite for a small fee.

- The tour may require a one-third mile walk, 21 steep stairs and an elevator ride.
- The Boeing Tour can be done by wheelchair and physically challenged visitors with advanced notice. Please advise us when making reservations. Sign language is available for all Boeing tours upon request with at least a two- week notice. Service animals are allowed in all public areas of the Future of Flight Aviation Center and Boeing Tour.
- There are restroom facilities and a cafe at the Future of Flight, but restrooms are not available during the tour.
- All tours are conducted in English and last 90 minutes. Any group willing to purchase 50 tickets for the same tour can make special arrangements to have their interpreter accompany them on the tour bus.
9:15 AM: For our second day of activities, we will muster in the hotel lobby and shortly thereafter board our bus for the drive to the Seattle Water Front. Our bus will depart at 9:30 AM for the approximately 30 minute trip to Argosy Cruises, Pier 56 arriving at around 10:00 AM. The Harbor Tour Boat does not board until 12:00 PM for a 12:15 PM departure giving us approximately two hours of shopping and sightseeing along the waterfront. The boat tour itself is approximately one hour in length so we should disembark around 1:15 PM.
We will then walk to Pier 54 and have lunch at the original Ivar’s Acres of Clams restaurant.
2:30 PM: Following our lunch at Ivar’s, our bus will transport us to Seattle’s Public Market Center for a two hour shopping spree at the famous Pike Place Market for the iconic Salmon fish toss!
4:30 PM: We will board our bus for the return to the Hampton Inn arriving around 5:00 PM. The rest of the day will be free time.

Seattle's Public Market
Welcome to Seattle’s beloved public market! Pike Place Market is the city’s center for fresh, local produce, specialty food and small independent businesses. Established in 1907 to connect citizens and farmers, the Market continues its “Meet the Producer” tradition with a year-round farmers market, owner-operated bakeries, fish markets, butcher shops, produce stands and specialty food stores.
Within the nine acre Market historic district is a daily crafts market, which features the quality work of 225 craftspeople, and more than 200 unique owner-operated shops and services. There are more than 80 restaurants within the Market boundaries, from takeout counters to fine dining establishments.
The Market is also home to more than 350 residents, many of whom are low- income seniors. Four social service agencies, including a senior center, food bank, medical clinic and preschool serve the downtown community.
10:00 AM: For our third day and final day of activities, we will muster in the hotel lobby and shortly thereafter board our bus for the drive to The Museum of Flight. Our bus will depart at 10:15 AM for the approximately 30 minute trip to museum. Our private Docent tour of the Great Gallery will begin at 11:00 AM and will be an hour in length. Following the tour, we will gather in the Northwest Aero Club Room for a box lunch. Your choice of Traditional Sandwiches include: Roasted Turkey Breast & Cheddar on whole wheat with lettuce & tomato; Cured Ham & Emmental Swiss on multigrain with lettuce & tomato; and Roast Top Round of Beef & Boursin on ciabatta roll with lettuce & tomato. Each sandwich is served with potato chips, whole fruit & fresh baked chocolate chunk cookie.
After our meal you will have the opportunity to tour on your own the other two galleries, the Personal Courage Wing & Air Park with WWI & WWII displays, and the Space Gallery that houses the Space Shuttle Trainer used by every astronaut who piloted the shuttle.
Additionally, we will have the opportunity to see a Concorde SST, JFL’s Air Force One, and the newly fully restored first Boeing 747 production plane of 1967.
The Museum Of Flight
History: In 1964 a small group of aviation enthusiasts realized that important artifacts representing the evolution of flight were being lost or destroyed at an incredible rate. To aid in the preservation of these artifacts, the Pacific Northwest Aviation Historical Foundation was established with the twin goals of saving significant aircraft and related artifacts and educating the public in terms of their importance.
It soon became clear that a place to store and exhibit these artifacts was needed, and in 1965 the first official Museum of Flight exhibits were put on display in a 10,000 square foot space at the Seattle Center, location of the 1962 World’s Fair.
The concept for the Museum complex began to jell in 1975 when the Port of Seattle leased the land on which the Red Barn® now sits to the Museum for 99 years.
The Red Barn®, the birthplace of The Boeing Company, was saved from demolition on its original location on the Duwamish River, and floated by river barge to its current location. It was restored in 1983 and became the first permanent location for the Museum. The Red Barn was eventually joined by the Great Gallery in 1987, the Library and Archives Building in 2002 and the J. Elroy McCaw Personal Courage Wing and Airpark in 2004.

3:00 PM: Our bus will depart for the Hampton Inn arriving around 3:30 PM. The rest of the day will be free until we start gathering for our banquet at 6:30 PM in the Galaxy Room at the Hampton Inn & Suites.
Reunion Banquet
6:30 PM: Our 2015 Reunion Banquet will be in the Hampton Inn & Suites Galaxy Room. Beer and wine will be available from the “pay as you go” bar which will open at 6:30 PM. Our buffet dinner will begin at 7:00 PM. The buffet table will include: Wild Field Green Salad; a choice of two entrees – Grilled Fillet of Salmon or Fillet Medallions with Mushrooms; Mashed Garlic Potatoes; Seasonal Vegetables; Green Beans; Rustic Dread/Rolls; and Dessert. Beverages include tea, coffee and/or water. Dress will be casual. (Note: The price of the meal includes tax and gratuity).
Departure: After breakfast, at 9:00 AM, an informal meeting will be held in our Hospitality Room to, among other things, discuss our 2016 reunion.
